Recipe Tips
This drink is best served immediately after making.Â
The cranberry juice gives it a lovely tart flavour, the sparkling water provides the fizz and the lime gives it a fresh taste.
Cranberry juice is great to consume any time of year, but especially during the colder winter months, as it is high in Vitamin C and antioxidants.
This is a great drink to serve at parties and gatherings over the festive period, or any time of the year.
There’s nothing worse than being a non-drinker and being given a glass of something sickly sweet (like elderflower cordial), at room temperature, in a boring glass.
Give yourself and your guests a more exciting drink, garnished with ice and fruit and serve it in an attractive glass. Your guests will be delighted that you’ve gone to the effort to serve them a special looking drink!
Alternative Ingredients
For an extra festive flourish you can freeze small sprigs of rosemary with water in your ice cube tray. These will make the ice cube look like they contain little Christmas trees, which is a lovely touch.
If you did want to make this into an alcoholic drink then you could add a shot of vodka, gin or dry martini.
You could also replace the sparkling water with tonic water, lemonade or ginger ale, depending on your taste preferences.
