Ingredient Notes

Try and use organic ingredients whenever possible.

Gluten Free Oats – In order to make this granola gluten free you will need to use gluten free rolled porridge oats, sometimes referred to as old fashioned rolled oats.

Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Organic Oats is a good option.

Dried Fruit – Freeze dried strawberries are a lovely addition to this recipe, but you can leave these out if you would prefer.

Freeze dried raspberries, or other types of dried fruit such as raisins, cranberries or desiccated coconut, would also work well in this recipe.

Flaxseeds – I have used a ground flaxseed blend to add additional fibre, nutrients and omega-3 fatty acids.

Anthony’s Organic Flaxseed Meal is a good option.

Chocolate Chips – You can use dairy free chocolate chips if you want to make this recipe vegan friendly. Or you can leave out the chocolate chips altogether.
