This post will provide you with birthday party gift ideas for 7 year old girls. These fun ideas are slightly more eco-friendly than your average gifts that you might find in the supermarket or toy shop. They are also budget friendly, with all of them costing under $20.
A lot of the gift ideas I’ve included will encourage creative tasks such as writing, drawing, sewing and crafting. I’ve also included some really cute accessories.
These gifts are thoughtful, good quality and 7 year old approved! They would also be suitable for most 6-9 year old girls.

How much should you spend on a birthday party gift?
People often ask, how much you should spend on a birthday party gift? I would say between $10-$20 is a reasonable amount. Birthday parties can be really expensive for the host’s parents, with some venues charging up to $25 per guest. So it’s nice to be able to give a small gift, to show that you appreciate your child being invited along.
If you are looking for a slightly more substantial gift for a 7 year old girl, perhaps a birthday or Christmas gift for a friend or family member, then please check out my post Gift Ideas for 7 Year Old Girls.

Sticker Books
Usborne Minis have a collection of sticker books that contain facts about flowers, trees and other wildlife. They encourage children to go outside and spot different species that are featured in the books.
They work like a nature trail or scavenger hunt activity. There are quite a few different books in the collection to choose from and they are very reasonably priced.

My daughter loves these Little Sticker Dolly Dressing books, also created by Usborne. They have a huge variety of themes, which cover a wide range of interests.
There are different pets, fairy tales and seasonal options to choose from. I have linked below to my daughter’s two favourites.

Stationary & Crafts
Most 7 year old girls really enjoy arts and crafts. The stationary and craft kits below would make great gifts to take along to a birthday party.
How to Draw Cute Stuff is a level up from a normal colouring book, as it teaches kids step by step how to draw different cartoon like ‘cute’ things. This is great for kids who love to draw. My daughter really enjoys this book.

Notepads with padlocks on are a big hit with 7 year old girls. They are super cute, but the padlocks are often flimsy and the keys are easy to misplace. I love these stylish notepads with a combination code lock on the front, instead of a padlock.

Having a craft activity like this one below is great to have on hand for quiet days at home, or outside in the garden. This Make a Wind Chime Kit is pretty unusual and would make a lovely birthday party gift.

These Sew Mini Animals Kits are a great way to introduce girls to sewing. It includes a variety of different animals to stitch together and then stuff. Another nice activity for a quiet day at home.

Beauty & Accessories
When I showed my 7 year old this crossbody bag/ fanny pack her immediate response was, “please can I have one!” I can see why she likes it. It’s great that it can be personalised with their initial and I think it would make a great birthday party gift.

These light up compact mirrors can also be personalised with the birthday girl’s initial. This also now features on my 7 year old daughter’s wish list!

Hurraw! Organic coconut lip balm is my favourite lip balm at the moment. This would make a great gift if you are planning on buying a few smaller items for the birthday girl.

Likewise these plastic free hair ties from Wild & Stone are mine and my daughter’s favourite hair ties at the moment. They are biodegradable, made with organic cotton and we love the bright colours.

This unicorn glitter is also biodegradable and great for crafting, or wearing as make up to parties or special events.

Finally, this jewellery box was a big hit when my 7 year old daughter received this as a gift. If unicorns aren’t her thing then there are also fairies, horses and ballerina designs to choose from.

Money
I’ll admit that for many years the idea of just putting some money in a birthday card to a friend felt like a bit of a cop out to me. I’ve always put quite a lot of time and thought into buying people gifts, so I suppose it just felt a bit lazy to me.
However, now that I’ve experienced hosting birthday parties for the whole of my daughter’s class, I can safely say that some cash in a birthday card gets a big thumbs up! Chances are the birthday girl has been gifted a fair bit of stuff from family, friends and birthday party guests.
So if you’re not sure what to buy, then some cash in a card is probably a good idea. She can then choose to save it, or spend it on something she wants whilst out on a day trip for example.
